As of 2017, the MTF survey data in Nepal shows that 71.7% of households have grid access, while 23% have access through off-grid solutions.  Using the MTF definition of access, 93.7% of households nationwide are in Tier 1 or above for access to electricity.

According to the MTF survey data, as of 2017, 62.7% of Nepalese households use a three-stone stove or traditional stove as their primary stove and 26.3% use an LPG stove.  Using the MTF definition, 25.7% of the households in Nepal are in MTF Tiers 3 or above.
